30 Years of God's Grace

In May of 1993, the Minnesota District Mission Board announced an Exploratory in West Des Moines, IA.   Rev. Thomas G Unke was called to serve this new mission field. Pastor Unke was installed as a mission explorer at Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church by Professor David Valleskey of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary on Sunday, July 25, 1993.

Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church held its first public worship service on Sunday, May 1, 1994 at 10:15 a.m. at the Ballet Iowa Building located at 2020 Grand Avenue in West Des Moines.   This building served Beautiful Savior until worship services were moved to more permanent locations.

Several of our former pastors and members are coming for the weekend.    Potluck and fellowship time to catch up and share stories.

Sunday, October 13 - Worship Service

Celebration Service at 10:00am

Rev. Thomas Unke will be our guest pastor.

Fellowship and lunch served at noon.
